1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to Magic Photo Cleaner ("the App"), developed by Tony Pham ("we," "us," or "our"). If you have questions, contact us at ptony90@gmail.com.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your photos, videos, or any media files
- Photo metadata (location, timestamps, camera info)
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us
3. Photo Library Access
The App requests access to your Photo Library solely to scan and analyze your photos and videos on-device. This access is used exclusively to:
- Read photos and videos stored in your library
- Detect duplicates, near-duplicates, and similar media using on-device processing
- Present results to you within the App to facilitate deletion or organization
No photo, video, thumbnail, or derived data is ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared outside your device. All analysis runs locally using Apple's on-device frameworks (Photos, Vision, CoreML, and related APIs).
You may revoke Photo Library access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. Revoking access will prevent the App from functioning but will not affect your photos.
4. Keychain Usage
The App may use the iOS Keychain to store small amounts of app-specific preference data (such as whether you have completed onboarding or your selected settings). No personal information, credentials, or media data is stored in the Keychain.
5. Third-Party SDKs & Services
The App does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or social media frameworks. We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data to share.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain usage data subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information from any users, there is nothing to collect from children either.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. All data the App creates (e.g., cached scan results) exists solely on your device and is removed when you delete the App.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights regarding your personal data (access, correction, deletion, portability, etc.). Because we collect no personal data, these rights are automatically fulfilled — there is simply nothing held about you. If you believe otherwise, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
